message in English

This message is especially for my friends who don´t understand Dutch, and as I had a request, I am writing this message in english. Dutch people can read it too I think. So I arrived in Mallorca last Saturday, in the evening, and my new roommate came to the airport to pick me up. She was waiting for me with a sign ´Caroline´ but I came through another gate, so we missed each other, haha. I called her and then she came to me. I live in a flat on the 9th floor, with a nice view on the sea, what I can see at the moment. The sun is shining and everything is perfect here. My 3 roommates are all Spanish girls from Andalucia and very friendly and open. We speak only spanish here and they speak very very fast, so I don´t understand half of it most of the time, but they try to help me and talk to me slower. Then I can talk to them, so I´m making progress, haha. My work is nice as well, I work in a special building, a big office which only focusses on selling time-share contracts for appartments. To sell a contract, we try to get potential guests to the hotel for a cheap weekend, under condition of their income and that they join a sales presentation. During this presentation they are being explained everything and ofcourse the end offered a contract. But my department is different, I work in the Holiday Preview Department and we are there to make sure these potential guests feel very comfortable and any problem they have, we have to solve. I like it, there is a lot of guest contact and I have to do a lot of social talk to make them comfortable before they go to the presentation. Also I do administration and arrange presentations with the sales people. Everyone here speaks English or German, no Spanish at all. But I learn Spanish at home, so no problem. Today is my day off and I will go to the city centre, I haven´t seen it yet, no time! I only went to dinner with a friend, but I haven´t seen much then. I live 10 minutes walking from the cathedral, near the sea, very nice and there is a small beach nearby, nice for summertime.
As you see I have internet at home, and I tried to install my webcam, but unfortunately it is not working yet, and I think I did everything right, well probably not, haha.
